Neighbourhoods United Candidates' Forum

On September 13th, it was my honour to participate in a candidates' debate hosted by Neighbourhoods United.  Neighbourhoods United is an organization that aims to preserve the characteristics of Edmonton's established neighbourhoods, provide residents with a voice that can engage with city hall, and to ensure that Edmonton remains a livable city as it densifies.  Please visit their website if you have concerns about development in your neighbourhood.

Participating in the debate allowed me to voice some of my stances and opinions on topics that matter to you.  These include my policy on infill, and on transit and safety.  I speak about the importance of accountability at city hall, about how arts and culture are essential to creating a thriving community here in Edmonton, and about the necessity of bylaw to support the flourishing of local businesses.  I encourage you to watch the video if you are curious about my stance on any of these issues.

You will be able to see where I agree with and differ from my opponent Mark Hillman on these key issues.  Sadly, while the incumbent counciller, Michael Janz, was invited to participate in this debate, he declined the invitation.
